Have you played “T in Y World” by Tom7? It featured in LudumDare23 and apart from being a game itself it was a game engine with some rules similar to yours although all characters were well… “characters” (A..Z, 1..0, etc.)
Rotating a block about the 3×3 perimeter of the player. I’ve been trying to do it by switching between objects that move in different directions, but then the problem is I can’t loop the whole action.

Yeah, I like it a lot (and did credit it – http://www.puzzlescript.net/documentation/credits.html).

This is so easy I feel like I should make a game.
It’s rather disconcerting playing these, because they still look like Increpare games. But where’s the James Joyce?
So this is basically “create your own increpare games”.
There is much to be done.
Would it be feasible to implement a way to check for patterns in a radius around the player rather than just in a straight line?
Could be done, but I don’t think it’d be worth it. What use cases do you have in mind?

what do you mean, loop the whole action? link to an example, if you have one handy.
(i should say, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/puzzlescript is a good place to post questions – it doesn’t require you to set up a special account so long as you have a google account)
Never mind, I was a newb when I posted that. I have learned to use helper objects. (I made tunnel rat and atlas shrank).
you’re a real pro now!
One I get onto the website I can’t actually figure out how to play other people’s games.
The tumblr contains a list of them, and people post games on the forum.
This is one of the best game making tools I’ ve ever used.
