This is dead simple, so I’ll get down to describing it straight away.
Firstly, you should have some way of seeing how many hits each of your HTML pages gets (geocities has, and but if yours doesn’t, install a free counter from a site like OxCounter.com on each page so you can see the number of hits each gets)..
Now, create a page for each thing you want to vote for. In this tutorial, I’m useing the example of my page, so I created 5 extra pages, “votingforparticles.html”, “votingforregistry.html”, “voteformdi.html”, “voteforflashblend.html”, and finally “voteforvoting.html” (which is now obsolete because this is the tutorial on it).
Now, on the page you want the user to be able to vote on, simply put links to each of the pages. To view how many people have clicked on each item, simply look at the number of hits each of the special voting pages got.
That’s simple, isn’t it?
(ps. if you use this system on your web-page, I would like to see it)
