Okay, some time around the time of the mysql server upgrade (which coincided with my own manual messing about with my mysql database) movable type, the program that powered the news/updates section of this site, stopped workin – in that it wouldn’t let me add anything to the site. This was not any fault of the program itself, I must stress, merely an effect of my tinkerings with it.
Thus, I took advantage of the occasion and swapped over to WordPress, another nice blogging program. I think I have it now so that it looks pretty much the same as it did, and I think all of the news from the old site got added pretty okay, but maybe there are a few mistakes. If you find any, please do not hesitate to tell me.
Also, just to say, it was terry who did seed my mind with the thoughts of possibly being able to use WordPress.
The back-end interface to movable type is still a little sleaker than wordpress, but I guess if it’s no different for the people looking at the page, there’s not much harm to it.
I also took the time to fill out the last month (where I wasn’t able to post) with things that I took note of to post.
